Souls in Abstraction

In June and July 2022, the painting exhibition Anime in Astrazione by Paolo Amoretti and Ilaria Berenice took place at Forte di Gavi (AL), organized by Arte and Cuisine in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Museums of Piedmont, the Management of Forte di Gavi and with the Patronage of the Municipality of Gavi.

The exhibition offers an anthology of interpretations by both artists, focusing primarily on the theme of the face. The exhibition unfolds through rooms displaying works grouped by artist and style, beginning with the ancient church, which features paintings inspired by the characters and history of Forte di Gavi. After the incipit in the spaces of the church, the exhibition continues in rooms dedicated to the stylistic journey of the two artists: from the most figurative and realistic portraiture to the purest, yet also visionary, abstraction that corresponds to the current creative reflection of both painters.
